ADVANCED STORY WORKSHOP

You already have a book or screenplay written. All it needs is professional level workshopping and processing to enable it to reach a break-through level. In this group, designed for graduates of our other groups, we do in-depth work to analyze members' projects with a view to processing and perfecting them. We will also be looking at high-end professional writing tools, such as metafiction and intertextuality. Lastly, we will focus strongly on selling projects or getting them published.

Dates for this group have not yet been set.

Topics to be covered include:

      1. How to find and fix plot weaknesses
      2. Creating richly textured worlds
      3. The secret of intertextuality
      4. Breaking a tale into scenes
      5. Making your protagonists unforgettable
      6. Understanding metafiction
      7. Getting organized to hit your deadline
      8. Creating a practical writing schedule
      9. How to read the market to ensure success
      10. Finding an agent or publisher
      11. Contracts and dealing with your editor
